If you want to get One Grip Higher leave work early and go for a walk in the woods.

A couple weeks ago I left work a little bit early to enjoy late autumn spell of warm weather with my family. The leaves in Rochester New York had mostly fallen to the ground, creating a colorful carpet that rustled loudly as we walked. Although there are many things at work I could have been doing, an overwhelming sense of satisfaction came over me as I enjoyed Gods beautiful creation that beautiful afternoon.

I can’t help but think we often get so caught up and busy doing the next task that we lose sight of the important things in life. I also think I am a lot more productive when I get back to work as a result of intentionally taking the time to stop… and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature with friends and family more often.

I’m not sure what you need to do to recharge. However, I’m convinced that if we periodically and intentionally, take time to do what might appear meaningless, but slows us down and provides us with peace we will all be One Grip Higher!
